To mark his three-decade career in music, acclaimed guitarist Maurizio Brunod presents a special project in which he reinterprets some of his most iconic compositions for the first time, spanning his entire artistic journey.
An Exceptional Trio with Rising Jazz Talents
For this new musical adventure, Brunod is joined by two rising stars of the Italian jazz scene: Emanuele Sartoris on piano and Marco Bellafiore on double bass. Together, they create a sophisticated chamber sound with psychedelic overtones, delivering a refreshed and deeply emotional take on Brunod’s signature works.

The album also features two renowned guest musicians with whom Brunod has long shared stages and artistic projects: Daniele Di Bonaventura (bandoneon) and Gianluigi Trovesi. In addition to their contributions to the album, both artists may also join the trio live, forming a true artistic residency around Brunod’s musical universe

About Maurizio Brunod
A key figure in the Italian jazz scene, Maurizio Brunod is a versatile guitarist and composer who has explored jazz, classical, progressive rock, and world music. He has collaborated with legendary artists such as Enrico Rava, Miroslav Vitous, Ralph Towner, John Surman, Alexander Balanescu, and Garrison Fewell, among many others.
He is a co-founder of the ensemble Enten Eller, one of Europe’s longest-running jazz groups, with over 30 years of history and 13 albums. Brunod’s discography includes more than 52 titles, including 6 solo albums.
He has performed at major festivals and appeared in media outlets such as Rai 3, Radio Montecarlo, La7, Piazza Verdi, and Fahrenheit. He is also the author of The Curious Guitarist Survival Guide, published by fingerpicking.net.
About Emanuele Sartoris
A classically trained pianist from the Turin Conservatory, Sartoris specialized in composition and improvisation under the guidance of Furio Di Castri and Dado Moroni. He has performed at festivals such as the Turin Jazz Festival and Novara Jazz, and has been a regular contributor to RAI 5’s “Nessun Dorma,” sharing the stage with artists like Enrico Rava and Eugenio Finardi. He has released four albums under major Italian jazz labels.
About Marco Bellafiore
A bassist and double bassist, Bellafiore is co-founder of the Satoyama quartet, with which he has performed across Europe and released three albums, the latest titled Magic Forest (Auand Records). Since 2017, he has collaborated regularly with Sartoris on projects such as I Suoni del Male, inspired by Baudelaire’s The Flowers of Evil and released by Dodicilune.
