The Aura 4, the highest-level model in the Aura Series, presents itself as a sleek 3-way/4-speaker bass-reflex floor-standing speaker. Designed with the intention of making the outstanding features that have brought renown to Wharfedale's reference range, especially the impressive Elysian, accessible to a broader audience, this floor-standing speaker incorporates highly valued technical refinements.
Among these refinements, the AMT tweeter, midrange and bass drivers with a matrix structure cone, the innovative "perimeter" SLLP bass-reflex port, and an impeccably finished multi-layer cabinet stand out. The AMT tweeter, or "Air Motion Transformer," stands out for its unique ability to move air using a large, low-mass folded diaphragm, significantly improving definition and transient response compared to conventional dome or other "planar"/ribbon designs.
The Aura 4 is completed with a cabinet constructed with panels formed by multiple layers of different woods, following the PROS ("Panel Resonance Optimisation System") scheme. This system prevents the transmission of internal vibrations to the speakers, preserving the integrity of the emitted sound and avoiding any unwanted interference.
