The MDX 16, part of Anthem's advanced MDX series of distributed sound amplifiers, is an elegant 16-channel power amplifier that offers exceptional versatility. Capable of powering up to 8 zones, each with its own subwoofer, it also acoustically optimises each space using the sophisticated ARC Genesis room correction system. Designed for state-of-the-art custom applications, the MDX 16 combines reliability, power and superior sound quality to meet the requirements of the most complex installations, all facilitated by simplified setup and calibration through intuitive web-based controls and software specifically designed to suit the user's needs.
Each zone can be configured in a fully customisable way, from input source selection to zone naming, with independent settings for parameters such as cutoff frequency, level, phase and polarity. The output section of the MDX 16 features high power Class D amplification, which can be substantially increased in mono configuration for each stereo channel pair, along with high efficiency and Anthem's unique Advanced Load Monitoring (ALM) protection system, which protects the audio signal without intrusion, ensuring consistent performance under extreme conditions.
Additionally, the MDX 16 includes a DAC section with 24-bit/192 kHz technology and switching functionality that allows digital inputs to be interconnected between multiple MDX 16 units, ensuring seamless and expandable integration. Compatible with leading home automation systems such as Crestron, Control4, Savant, ELAN, URC and RTI via IP/RS232 connection after installation of the appropriate controller, Anthem's MDX 16 represents the latest in amplifier technology for the modern, connected home.
