ANTHEM MDX 8. Very high performance 5-channel power amplifier
Anthem's MDX 8 is the introduction to the new MDX series of distributed sound amplifiers designed for multi-zone audio systems. This elegant 8-channel power amplifier can not only drive up to four zones with their respective subwoofers, but also acoustically enhances each zone with the advanced ARC Genesis room correction system. This device is ideal for high-demand custom setups, offering reliability, power and superior sound quality.
In addition to its technical capabilities, the MDX 8 facilitates simple yet effective setup and calibration, thanks to intuitive web-based controls and software designed to suit the user's specific needs. It allows full customisation of each zone, from audio source selection to zone naming, adjusting individual parameters such as cutoff frequency, level, phase and polarity.
The output section of the MDX 8 uses high power Class D amplification, which can be further increased by setting the stereo channels to mono mode, together with high efficiency and Anthem's Advanced Load Monitoring (ALM) protection system that does not interfere with the audio signal. This system ensures optimum performance even under extreme conditions of use.
The MDX 8 integrates a high-resolution DAC with 24-bit/192 kHz technology and is compatible with home automation systems from renowned brands such as Crestron, Control4, Savant, ELAN, URC and RTI via IP/RS232 connection, subject to installation of the appropriate driver.
