Virtues of WBT plugs and terminals:

Distortion-free, low-loss transmission and the plug body and mechanics are solid, reliable and safe (insulated).

Conventional "classic" plug connectors are almost always made of brass or bronze sheet. They certainly fulfil their tasks, although not with sufficient precision.

- The massive connector body inevitably functions as a massive storage, i.e. it creates a kind of "capacitor effect" and the larger and heavier the terminal is, the more it is used.

- the larger and heavier the terminal, the higher the eddy current.

Both of these problems create clearly audible distortions of a non-linear type and are, as is well known, uncorrectable. Those who attach great importance to the "high end" will have to deal with the solution of this problem.

That is why WBT nextgen™ is different: Whereas brass is - irrespective of its

copper rate - primarily a multi-purpose material that performs ordinary functions, nextgen™ is composed only of functional materials:

For current/signal transmission a pure, soft copper is used - a material that is not only excellent in electrical conduction, but can also be dosed exactly with the right production process. The metal mass could be reduced by approximately 90%, however with the disadvantage of mechanical stability.

But there is also the power of hybrid construction.

Injection moulding with high-tech plastic generates not only a plug body with its mechanics, but also the stability of the "soft" signal conductors in a hybrid composition of highly specialised functional materials.

The result of this innovative construction is the ideal connector with a considerable improvement in audible sound3: WBT nextgen™.

External connection.

The intelligent design of the signal conductor allows for secure termination of cable ends, banana plugs and crimped cable ends.

Internal connection.

Solder joints that can be bent by hand if necessary. WBT recommends the application of silver solder WBT-0800/0805 which is gentle on precious surfaces.

Mounting.

Mounting insulators are included to ensure not only insulation, but also torsion-resistant mounting and polarity identification of the terminals. In case hi-fi devices are strongly exposed to impact sound, such as loudspeakers, it is recommended to use an additional nut locking aid, which is the LOCTITE 4804 screw retaining fluid. It is combined with WBT high-tech plastics and is removable. In addition, WBT recommends the use of the impact sound switch WBT-0718.
