The Hypex SMPS3kA700 is a high-efficiency, 3000-watt switch-mode power supply designed specifically to power the UcD2k amplifier module. With its compact form factor, low weight, and excellent EMI management, it is a robust and reliable solution for high-power professional audio applications.

The SMPS3kA700 has been optimized from design to implementation to meet the highest standards in demanding audio environments. Its high-capacity electrolytic capacitors ensure excellent dynamic headroom, making it ideal for amplifiers that require stable and uncompromising performance under heavy load conditions.

An advanced overcurrent protection system automatically limits the output in the event of a temporary overload. If the overload persists, the unit enters hiccup mode until normal operation can resume.

The unit also features an isolated auxiliary output and control circuits for direct integration with UcD amplifier modules, enabling remote activation or shutdown based on external signals or critical fault conditions.

Important Note

This power supply does not support two-quadrant operation, unlike other Hypex models. It is not recommended for use with UcD700HG HxR modules at frequencies below 100 Hz.
