Cayin C9: Redefining the Portable Music Experience
The Cayin C9 is a four-channel portable headphone amplifier designed to take audio power to new levels with 4100mW at 16 Ω and 2600mW at 32 Ω per channel. Thanks to its advanced circuitry incorporating KORG Nutube solid-state tubes, this device offers two amplification modes, Pure Class A and Class AB, optimising every sonic detail with precision.
Innovative Tube Circuitry
The C9's circuitry has been redesigned with two Nutube 6p1 Triode Direct tubes, enabling a listening experience with a warm and engaging timbre. The configuration includes low noise, high quality components such as Toshiba 2sK209 JFETs, ensuring a rich and realistic sound.
Versatility in Gain and Inputs
The amplifier facilitates customisation with dual gain adjustment, allowing you to tailor the output to the specific needs of your headphones. In addition, it includes line and PRE-amp inputs, with local or source-controlled volume controls respectively.
Flexible Connections
The C9 features 3.5mm SE and balanced 4.4mm outputs, expanding the possibilities for connection to different types of headphones and ensuring optimal signal transfer.
Exceptional Amplifier Structure
The fully balanced amplifier circuitry uses four-channel JFET and BJT technology for superior portable performance. Signal is driven through WIMA capacitors and LSK489 DUAL JFET differential amplifiers, culminating in a parallel doubled BJT output stage that provides exceptional power for IEMs and headphones.
Heat Management and Modular Battery Design
The C9 design includes an efficient heat dissipation strategy and a modular lithium battery system for consistent and reliable power. QC3.0 fast charging via USB-C and LED indicators enhance the usability and maintainability of the device.
