EAR Yoshino 899. Integrated tube amplifier. 2 x 70 W
The EAR 899 integrated amplifier incorporates the same architecture as the 890 power amplifier, providing 70 watts per channel, along with an additional 6-input passive preamplifier.
It is versatile in use, as it can operate as a standard stereo power amplifier with its 70 watts per channel, or in mono, bridged or parallel mode, the latter offering 140 watts of pure Class A power. True balanced inputs are available for both configurations, providing a wide range of connection possibilities.
The circuitry employs two pairs of KT90 tubes per channel, known for their exceptional reliability, and is built to the highest quality standards. The front panel, made of heavy gauge aluminium, is designed to be mounted in a standard 19-inch rack.
With this amplifier, Tim de Paravicini has succeeded in bringing the sonic virtues of the EAR 834 model to an audience that demanded more power, allowing them to enjoy EAR's renowned clarity, control and frequency extension, along with the flexibility of future upgrade options.
