Building on the success of its predecessor, the Rena SA-1, the Rena SA-2 combines the latest in Electrocompaniet's streaming technology with a high-performance DAC section and amplifier circuitry, both designed and manufactured in-house by the Norwegian company. The result is an impeccable audiophile listening experience, with exceptional sonic clarity, impressive dynamic range and meticulous attention to detail in any music recording.
The Rena SA-2 achieves these goals through a 2x75 watt continuous Class D amplifier stage, executed with very high quality components, a 24-bit/192 kHz D/A converter and a DSP (Digital Signal Processor) chip with 32-bit floating point arithmetic. This combination ensures accurate and smooth access and playback of remote content from online music services such as Spotify Connect, Qobuz and TIDAL Connect, all implemented in the device.
This device is an ideal digital source for pairing with compatible active loudspeakers, such as the ultra-compact Tana L monitor and Sira L-1 subwoofer, both belonging to Electrocompaniet's The EC Living Line family. In short, the Rena SA-2 is an excellent all-in-one solution that only requires a pair of speakers to set up a hi-fi system in rooms with limited space.
