A superb example of electronic engineering at the highest level. The Airtight ATM-1S is a stereo power amplifier with gain controls that allows it to be used as an integrated amplifier. It uses four EL34 tubes to deliver almost forty watts per channel.
It's been said time and time again that there is something special about "tube watts" and this amplifier proves this point convincingly. We have spoken to customers who own well-known transistor amps that are supposedly much more powerful than the AirTight but, in each case, the ATM-1 delivered a much more musical, powerful and emotive sound. And it is important to note that none of these customers were using high-sensitivity loudspeakers, but rather "conventional" designs from different manufacturers.
