Updated version of the reputed LS28, the LS28SE is an extremely flexible and intuitive line preamplifier. It includes four sets of inputs and two sets of outputs both balanced and unbalanced to allow maximum connectivity. To this must be added a practical menu system to control parameters such as the hours of use of the valves, the automatic shutdown, the routing in Home Theater systems and the naming of the inputs. At the heart of the LS28SE are four 6H30 vacuum tubes in the analog circuitry, complemented by numerous - and expensive - technical refinements imported from the Reference 160 range of amplifiers, including gold foil coupling capacitors. The result is a noticeable improvement in parameters such as clarity, resolution, speed of response to transients and the feeling of space; in short, of musicality.
