Furutech Monaco LP Stabilizer. Vinyl Record Weight

The Ultimate Test

The unique mindset of Grand Prix racing: pushing the limits of technology and performance to that final split second that makes the difference between victory and defeat. Furutech approaches every product with the same philosophy—optimized engineering solutions, advanced materials and processes, and meticulously crafted build quality.

The top and base modules, crafted from non-magnetic stainless steel, are precisely machined and beautifully finished. These are clad in a damping layer of carbon fiber, while the underside features 16 concentric damping grooves made from an extremely effective Piezo Electric damping material.

The Piezoelectric Effect & Your Precious LPs

Furutech’s Pure Transmission series products, including the award-winning FI-50 series connectors, feature an active construction system using a unique hybrid material. This material blends nano-sized ceramic particles with carbon powder. Only these nano-ceramic particles can effectively combine with the carbon powder to activate the piezoelectric effect.

Additionally, nylon and fiberglass are incorporated into the structure to form a compound that is both mechanically and electrically damped—yes, electrically damped as well.

How Piezoelectric Damping Works

Furutech uses nano-scale polycrystalline ferroelectric ceramic particles, which generate electrical charges under mechanical pressure. These are combined with carbon powder, known for its thermal conductivity. This interaction dissipates electrical energy as heat, released from the material surface. This creates an interconversion between mechanical, electrical, and thermal energy, providing ideal damping for stabilizing vinyl records.

Such is the level of engineering behind Furutech’s Monza (350 ±5g) and Monaco (210 ±5g) LP stabilizers.
