Playing a vinyl record with a dirty needle can result in the loss of valuable information contained in the groove, especially of the more delicate high frequencies, and even the presence of audible distortion. To avoid this, Ortofon has created this handy brush with a circular head that contains tiny strands of carbon fiber suitable for cleaning without damaging it to the most delicate of the needles whenever a new disc is heard or changed of face.
