A highly adaptable vinyl record player that greatly improves on the approach employed in the acclaimed T1 model by adding a number of features genuinely appreciated by audiophiles, positioning it as a new benchmark in its price range. Equipped with belt drive, it features a 10 mm thick glass platter that is distinguished by its tonal neutrality, along with a one-piece 9-inch aluminium arm that offers extensive adjustment options. This arm comes standard with a moving Rainier magnet capsule, manufactured by the renowned Japanese firm Sumiko, and also features a speed control system that facilitates automatic switching. The entire system is mounted on a sleek, anti-resonant chassis, which is machined using a high-precision CNC machining process, using no plastic components or voids to avoid generating vibrations that could adversely affect the sound quality. To complete the package, the T2 Super Phono includes a new two-stage passive phono preamplifier, compatible with moving magnet (MM) capsules, which has been adapted from the T2 W model with several technical improvements to maximise its performance in a larger space.
