Imagine that you are drawing water from a tap the size of a pencil. The amount of water extracted will be limited to that of the tap. Now imagine that the tap is the size of a water bottle. You will hold considerably more water than before. The same concept applies to power cords when comparing the current flow between a standard thin power cord and the AudioQuest Monsoon power cord.

The Monsoon Power Cable's performance resembles its name. With an impressive 18mm outer diameter, the Monsoon power cord has enormous current flow capacity. This makes it perfect for providing extensive current to your rig to increase dynamics and detail.

When connected to our power amp here at the Future Store, we personally noticed an increase in dynamic range with a lower noise floor. Connected to our CD player, we noticed an improvement in the clarity of the sound reproduction.

All in all, the AudioQuest Monsoon power cord is perfect for those looking to enhance their listening experience with a wider dynamic range, lower background noise, and greater clarity.

Characteristics:

Zero characteristic impedance allows uncompressed current transfer.

Patented ground noise dissipation and transient prevention metal steering control.

Intermodulation Distortion (TIM).

True-Concentric Conductors Minimize Strangulation Interaction and Magnetic Confusion.

Perfect-Surface Copper + (PSC +) minimizes grain bonding discontinuities.

Zero characteristic impedance allows uncompressed current transfer.

A non-technical analogy for this could be that if you drop a coin into a tube with shampoo in it, no matter how wide (low resistance) that tube is, the shampoo (the Characteristic Impedance) is going to get in the way (transient currents of compromise). Eliminating the characteristic impedance (Zero means No in this application) is like having only air in the tube, as close to vacuum as possible. Whether the amp is running at less than one watt or at maximum, the unrestricted transients are visceral - something the whole body understands, without the need for words.

Patented Direction Controlled Ground Noise Dissipation Drivers.

AC noise is present at the supply source and is then supplemented by radio, cellular noise, etc., which is picked up by the AC power cord. This noise is coupled to component power supplies and circuit ground, which in turn creates distortion and masking of low-level signals.

AudioQuest's proprietary ground noise dissipation dramatically reduces radio frequency interference (RFI) linearly across an extremely wide range of frequencies, producing an unprecedented reduction in transient intermodulation (TIM) distortion. A natural sound is heard with an artificial bite.

Furthermore, all drawn metallic wires or conductors have an asymmetric and therefore directional grain structure. AudioQuest controls the resulting small variation in RF impedance so that noise is drained away from where it will cause distortion.

High Purity True-Concentric Conductors.

With only Perfect-Surface Copper + (PSC +) on the outside, monsoon conductors are essentially all PSC +, although the core of the conductor is long-grain copper (LGC). Both the superior metal and conductor geometry greatly reduce transient intermodulation (TIM) distortion that fatigue the ears.

Uncompressed high current transfer.

While many AC power cables feature low DC resistance to meet high current demand, the characteristic impedance of a cable is also crucial for optimal performance.

Unlike most AC cables that constrict or compress an audio-induced transient, AudioQuest AC cables combine low DC resistance and zero characteristic impedance to provide low uncompressed high current transients. demand.
