The Hypex SMPS1200A400 is a high-efficiency 1200-watt switched-mode power supply designed specifically to power multiple UcD400HG, UcD400HG HxR, or NC400 amplifier modules. Compact, powerful, and quiet, this power supply is optimized to meet the most demanding standards for high-performance audio applications.

The SMPS1200A400 delivers 2 x 64 VDC using an efficient layout that minimizes space and weight while keeping EMI extremely low—ideal for sensitive audiophile environments.

It features an intelligent overload protection system that limits output current during temporary peaks. If the condition persists, the unit enters hiccup mode until the overload clears, protecting both the power supply and connected amplifier modules.

Thanks to its large primary-side reservoir capacitors, it can deliver high dynamic power—essential for driving connected amplifiers to their full potential.

It also includes an isolated auxiliary output and a control circuit for remote operation or fault-triggered shutdown, fully compatible with UcD and Ncore modules.
