The Jo No. 5 is an exquisite moving coil (MC) pickup cartridge developed by High End audio component and accessory manufacturer EAT. The second pickup capsule created by the renowned Central European firm throughout its history, Jo Nº5 is a small work of mechanical engineering art that impresses from the outset due to the visual elegance of its body, made of polyamide using a sophisticated process called “Selective Laser Sintering ”(SLS). Thanks to the SLS, the structural integrity of the body of the Jo Nº5 is absolutely perfect, with what this implies in terms of suppression of possible resonances. To this must be added the use of high purity copper in the voice coil windings and a Nude Fine Line type needle, both solutions aimed at maximizing the capture of all the subtleties contained in each recording. Finally, let's point out that the Jo No. 5 will do its best in the company of a high-quality phono section or phono preamplifier.
