As part of Ortofon's elite Exclusive series, the MC Verismo is a true reference pick-up capsule that benefits from the Scandinavian brand's most representative technical refinements, such as Ortofon's sophisticated Replicant 100 diamond tip, a diamond cantilever and a titanium body made with the exclusive SLM technique. The voice coils are made of gold-plated 6NX oxygen-free copper and are hand-wound by skilled craftsmen in Denmark. The MC Verismo also features a highly efficient magnetic motor equipped with Ortofon's unique "Field Stabilizing Element", which ensures that the magnetic field remains stable regardless of the movement of the capsule armature, thus ensuring fabulous dynamics and increased "air" between the players. Another key element of the MC Verismo is the brand's also unique "Wide Range Damping" (WRD) system, in which a small platinum disc is placed between two rubber absorbers with different properties in order to ensure not only exceptional groove-following capability, but also the creation of perfect damping across all working frequencies, virtually eliminating distortion and resonances.
