ORTOFON 2M Black LVB 250 Premounted
The Ortofon 2M Black capsule is the flagship of the series and lives up to it with great success. The Shibata diamond gives you groove contact like nothing else. You can hear every little detail in the music from every part of the spectrum. Just as the artist wanted you to. For those who want to feel the artist's presence in the room when listening to their records.
Features:
The 2M Black capsule is adorned with a Shibata diamond whose slim, highly polished profile allows for an extremely wide contact area with the groove walls and ensures remarkably detailed reproduction across the entire spectrum, including even the highest frequency groove information. The 2M Black capsule uses a special enhanced motor, with split-pole pins with a silver-plated copper wire.
We have optimised the design to make it easier to mount the cartridge, and the weight and size to fit the most common turntables on the market today. The 2M series provides excellent compatibility when used in a variety of playback systems and with a wide variety of phono preamplifiers.

The 2M Premounted pod is a practical and elegant solution for our customers who want direct and easy mounting and replacement on their S-arm. The quality of the SH-4 pod holder is robust and rigid, but the design emphasises a slim and delicate form factor. The strong, lightweight shell is ergonomically designed with a long lifting finger that is easy to lift.

The new rubber compound formula
In order to achieve an optimal interaction between flexibility and damping, a new rubber compound has been developed for the suspension system.
The new rubber compound formulation is based on the highly efficient Multi Wall Carbon Nano Tubes (MWCNT) nanofiller. The new MWCNT-based compound offers desirable mechanical properties, which ensure better damping and improve the overall performance of the capsule.
In addition, the new MWCNT capsule compound allows for a more environmentally friendly production, which adds further advantages. The MWCNT powder is applied in a rubber polymer matrix and not in powder form, which makes the production process cleaner, non-polluting and saves energy.
