Its impressive 70 mm main platter, made from high-density acrylic and CNC machined for perfect balance, provides outstanding rotational inertia. This enhances tonal stability and minimizes speed fluctuations. The main platter rides atop a 15 mm solid stainless-steel subplatter, dynamically balanced and supported by Clearaudio’s exclusive Ceramic Magnetic Bearing (CMB), virtually eliminating mechanical friction.
Optical Speed Control and High-Torque Motor
The Optical Speed Control (OSC) system, using an integrated infrared sensor, continuously monitors platter rotation in real time, ensuring speed accuracy better than ±0.05%. The 24V high-torque DC motor, designed exclusively by Clearaudio, is fully decoupled from the chassis and operates silently thanks to an advanced resonance damping system.
Resonance-Controlled Chassis
The sandwich-structured chassis, made from panzerholz wood and precision-machined aluminum, is acoustically optimized to suppress resonance across the entire frequency spectrum. Individually adjustable feet allow perfect leveling, ensuring optimal performance in any environment.
The Innovation also offers support for a second tonearm, giving users the flexibility to explore different cartridge types or listening configurations.
