AudioQuest is proud to introduce our Niagara 7000 Low-Z Power Noise Dissipation System, a complete rethink of AC power filtering, designed by one of the leading experts in the field, Garth Powell. As with all AQ products previously, and more recently with our DragonFly USB DAC and NightHawk headphones, we would not have entered this field if we did not think we have something special and meaningful to offer. At Niagara 7000, we believe we have created a product that revolutionizes the art and science of AC power, a product that will inspire audio and video enthusiasts and help create an even more immersive and emotionally compelling experience.

In designing the Niagara 7000, we set out to successfully address the issues that prevent today's audio / video components from reaching their potential. Due to the vast increase in overhead and AC line radio signals, combined with overloaded utility lines and the ever-increasing demands on high-definition audio / video components, a complete rethink of technology is needed. AC power supply to provide our A / V systems with the power they need to reach their potential.

Additionally, today's power amplifiers are being taxed by instantaneous peak current demand, even when driven at modest volumes. While we've seen a substantial increase in dynamic range from much of our audio software, the speakers we use to reproduce it are typically no more efficient than they were 50 years ago. This places great demands on an amplifier's power supply, as well as the AC power supply that powers it. In our efforts to adequately accommodate the promise of today's growing bandwidth and dynamic range, the Niagara 7000 offers extremely low system noise and provides superior current delivery across a very wide range of frequencies.

Using differential sample testing and spectrum analysis, it can be shown that up to one-third of a high-resolution (low-level) audio signal can be lost, masked, or greatly distorted due to the enormous levels of noise flowing through the lines. AC power supply that power our components. This noise is coupled to the signal circuitry as current noise and through the AC ground, permanently distorting and / or masking the source signal. Sensitive components in our systems need better alternating current.

We realize that true audio / video optimization is never a matter of a secret or exotic circuit. When it comes to noise dissipation for AC power, many approaches can produce significant results. However, these approaches can also impart hum, current compression, and non-linear distortions that can make the cure worse than the disease. While there are currently a number of AC power conditioners, isolation transformers, regeneration amplifiers, and battery backup system topologies, the Niagara 7000 takes a holistic, science-based approach to AC power technology and represents a solution. comprehensive for the ever-increasing noise affecting our power lines.

On the Niagara 7000, you will find optimized directionality of RF cables, internally functioning capacitor-forming technologies developed by Jet Propulsion Laboratories and NASA, as well as heavy silver-on-copper clad AC input and output contacts of extreme purity, ensuring the strongest possible grip.

The Niagara 7000 uses our proprietary AC ground noise dissipation system, the world's first dielectric biased AC isolation transformers, and the industry's highest bandwidth linearized noise dissipation circuit. Our exclusive Passive / Active Transient Power Correction Circuit features an instantaneous current reservoir of over 90 peak amps, specifically designed for today's non-current power amplifiers. Most AC power products that feature "high current outlets" simply minimize current compression; the Niagara 7000 fixes it.

With an AudioQuest Niagara 7000, music lovers can finally experience the clarity, dimensionality, frequency spread, dynamic contrast and grip that their A / V systems have been able to offer - if only the power had been right! !

Specifications:

Surge Suppression: No sacrifice (nothing that can be damaged by repeated testing of 6000V / 3000A input surges, which is the longest that can survive through a building's AC electrical panel).

Extreme

Voltage

Shutdown Voltage: 140VAC (will activate main high current relay to open in less than 0.25 seconds; automatically resets once incoming power is within safe range).

Common Mode Noise Dissipation: In excess of 30dB from 60Hz to 100MHz, linearized for dynamic line impedance (upstream) with frequency (source) and load of 10 to 50 ohms, dependent on system current.

Transverse Mode Noise

Dissipation:

More than 24dB from 3kHz to 1GHz, linearized for dynamic Line impedance (upstream) with frequency (source) and 10 to 50 ohms load, dependent on system current.

Maximum input current capacity: 20 amps RMS (total).

Ultra-Linear Dielectric with Bias

Symmetrical alternating current output

Banks:

4 (two groups 100% isolated in total). Group one is Bank AC 5/6 and Group two is Bank 3/4 (5 Amps RMS total per group, maximum output current capacity).

Number of AC Outlets: 12 (4 High Current / Transient Power Correction; 8 Ultra Linear /

Symmetric Power with Dielectric Bias).

Power consumption: Typically less than 0.25 amps at 120VAC input, or with power. The correction is changed to the Standby setting.

(This depends on a reactive vector load. For more information, see "Operation and Continuous Use: Rear Panel Power Correction Switch - Niagara 7000 Current Draw").
