AUDIOLAB DC Block 6. DC Blocker
The DC Block 6 is an attractive and elaborate mains filter with a built-in DC blocker, whose purpose is to clean the signal responsible for feeding all types of High Fidelity components of foreign elements. It does this by blocking - or even cancelling - the DC voltage present in the mains signal, correcting what is known as DC drift and rebalancing the sine wave coming from the electrical installation. But the Audiolab goes further by incorporating a high-level audio filtering circuit that eliminates potential interference due to electromagnetic interference (EMI) or radio frequency interference (RFI) present in the mains signal. This is very effective in reducing both differential mode noise (which is substantially increased by low-priced switching power supplies used by many household appliances) and common mode noise (aggravated by airborne interference from mobile phones, Wi-Fi networks and Bluetooth). Sized to fit perfectly with Audiolab components and easy to integrate into any dedicated Hi-Fi component enclosure, the DC Block 6 includes a single input for the mains signal and six IEC-approved output sockets to power as many audio components, as well as an OLED function display to show the power voltage level.
