REGA Exact 2 MM. Moving Magnet Capsule (MM)
The Exact is the top level of our range of handmade moving magnet capsules. Built to the tightest tolerances achievable and using an advanced stylus profile, (a complex fine line micro-grind from a rectangular diamond part). This advanced profile is guaranteed to extract more music from your vinyl by using its unique profile to track the beats more accurately. Available factory-installed on Planar 6, and an ideal moving magnet companion for Planar 3 and Planar 8.
Each Exact uses a pair of the highest quality internally wound parallel coils. The selected set of coils is carefully assembled in a custom jig to create the tightest possible pole spacing in the range of the moving magnet. By achieving an incredible balance of ± 0.1 mV channel-to-channel matching, Exact delivers the best stereo imaging and highest output available in our moving magnet range. This testing process can take three times longer than other capsule models, but the increased accuracy is worth it, as you'll experience taut bass and incisive treble. The addition of the unique Rega three-point mounting system (which automatically improves the rigidity of the mount on the Rega arms' capsule holder) is what makes Exact our superior moving magnet capsule.
