The Rega Fono Mini A2D is a high quality phono preamp for use with any moving magnet cartridge. The addition of the USB interface allows you to transfer vinyl to your PC very easily. The Phono Mini A2D has been designed to amplify the signal of a moving magnet capsule to a level suitable for all line inputs of an amplifier. The new Fono Mini A2D benefits from an extruded aluminium chassis and very clear front and rear panels that make this phono preamp a very user-friendly product.

The Fono Mini A2D amplifier offers exceptional performance and incredible value for money and promises to be an invaluable addition to any hi-fi system.

Product details

To transfer vinyl to your PC, you will need to install a digital audio editor. This software is available for free download on the internet (e.g. Audacity). It is a very simple interface that allows you to monitor volume and balance while transferring the sound to your PC's hard disk.

The audio editing software includes a level meter that indicates the output level reached when playing vinyl. You should adjust the output as needed with the "Level" control on the front panel. Always take note of the recording levels to ensure optimum recording quality.

This is an inexpensive version of the MM Phono and is based on the phono preamp used in the Brio-R amplifier.
