Mistral Series plugs, like Storm Series connectors, are made of a thick layer of silver on red copper and beryllium copper.

AudioQuest Monsoon XTRM is the entry level of the Wind Series and replaces the old NRG-4. It contains larger gauge conductors made of Long Grain Copper (LGC) and Perfect Surface Copper (PSC +) and is equipped with the well-known Ground Noise Dissipation System, a multi-layer shield that absorbs high-frequency noise before it enters the conductors through which it accesses your hifi system. The cable's outer diameter is larger and less flexible than NRG series cables, but when we heard its aural effect that small difference in manipulability was easily forgiven.

Conductors: 37% Massieve Long Grain Copper (LGC) + 63% Perfect Surface Copper (PSC +).

Connectors: 15 Amp (C13) or 20 Amp (C19) IEC device plug.

The AudioQuest Monsoon XTRM comes standard with a 15 Amp device plug (C13), but is also available with a 20 Amp plug (C19) at no additional cost.
