Nordost QVIBE QV2: AC Line Harmonizer
The Nordost QVIBE QV2 is an advanced active line harmonizer that optimizes alternating current to deliver a more natural, three-dimensional, and grain-free sound. Thanks to its exclusive active circuitry, the QV2 injects a precise range of harmonic overtones into the AC line, reducing background noise and enhancing depth, dimensionality, and realism in both music and video playback.
Its primary function is to transmit additional frequencies that enrich midrange and treble registers while correcting irregularities in the sine wave that can compromise audio and video quality. This process is achieved through timed pulses, occurring 60 times per second, which stabilize the waveform and eliminate harshness or stridency.
Housed in a mechanically tuned carbon fiber body, the QV2 features a gold-plated Schuko (EU) connector. It is compatible with voltages from 110 to 240 V and can be used individually or in combination with other QRT modules (such as QBASE, QX2, QX4, or QKOIL) for an even greater cumulative effect.
