With an industrial design inspired by that of the vehicle recently used in the exploration of Mars, but reinterpreted through the brand identity of the prestigious South Korean firm, the ACRO CA1000 headphone amplifier with built-in DAC immediately catches the eye with its computer-assisted high-precision machined aluminium body and wheels, as well as the delicacy of its finishes. In terms of design, the ACRO CA1000 combines the features and portability of a high-performance amplifier with advanced signal processing electronics to set a new standard of excellence and unprecedented functionality among products in its class. The first of the relevant technological elements of the ACRO CA1000 is an amplifier circuitry with 4 gain levels and a maximum output of 15 Vrms. As always at Astell&Kern, the quality of the key elements has been taken very special care of, highlighting the use of four ES9068AS D/A converters from the Californian firm ESS Technology to achieve an exceptionally detailed and balanced sound with audio files encoded in PCM up to 32 bits/384 kHz and DSD up to DSD512. But the key to the fabulous musicality of the new Astell&Kern lies in an exclusivity that surpasses everything seen in portable audio: the TERATON ALPHA, the maximum expression of the South Korean firm's technological know-how and which concentrates a series of solutions in power supply, amplification and audio interface exclusive to the brand aimed at maximising the sound quality of the digital section.
