Furutech CF-601M NCF: High End High Performance XLR Connector

Furutech introduces the CF-601M NCF top of the line XLR connector. This is a high performance "signal" connector from Furutech featuring the Nano Crystal² (NCF) formula. This material is the cumulative result of Furutech's 30+ year effort to eliminate electrical and mechanical resonance from signal and power transmission in high performance audio and video applications. Offering drastic noise reduction, improved imaging and focusing, and enhanced sound staging, the CF-601M NCF will take your listening enjoyment to the next level.

Nano Crystal² Formula (NCF) center conductor and connector body

The Furutech CF-601M NCF features a body formed from NCF liquid crystal polymer resin. The resin incorporates nylon, fiberglass, nanometer-sized crystalline piezoelectric ceramic particles, carbon powder, and Furutech's special "NCF" anti-resonance damping material. The same special NCF damping material is injected into the CF-601M NCF's rhodium-plated pure copper ∝ (Alpha) one-piece construction lead pins: a true innovation!

Incorporated into select Furutech products, NCF features a special crystalline material that has two "active" properties. First, it generates negative ions that eliminate static. Second, it converts heat energy into far infrared. Furutech combines this remarkable material with nano-sized ceramic particles and carbon powder for its additional 'piezoelectric effect' damping properties. The resulting Nano Crystal² formula is the ultimate electrical and mechanical damping material. Created by Furutech, found exclusively on Furutech products.

Furutech's two-stage cryogenic and degaussing alpha process

Using state-of-the-art technology and materials, Furutech developed a two-stage, low-temperature process that significantly improves all facets of audio and video performance. The treatment begins during the manufacturing process with a deep and conditioning cryogenic freeze of all metal parts. Using high-end refrigerants, liquid N2 or He, Furutech reaches temperatures between -196ºC and -250ºC. The treated parts change their molecular structure at these temperature extremes relieving internal stress. The molecules bind more closely and the overall structure becomes more stable. This improves electrical conductivity and thus power and signal transfer.

The second step of the Alpha Cryonization process exposes these same parts to the proprietary ring demagnetization treatment. Ordinary high-power magnets used for this purpose often increase the magnetic effects; they leave some areas more magnetized than others. This patented process uses controlled dimming to eliminate magnetization for immediately more vivid and colorful enhancements. Ring demagnetization further improves the conductivity of all treated materials.

ALL metal parts used in Furutech products go through the Alpha Process treatment to keep all connectors, conductors and metal parts in a perfect stress-free, stable and highly conductive condition.

Furutech Pure Transmission Philosophy

Meticulous build quality is a big part of the engineering equation. Furutech Pure Transmission technology turns a macro lens into each power and signal transfer element by applying optimized engineering solutions to well-known problems such as contact resistance, EMI and RFI rejection, grounding and use of the best available materials and processes.

NCF offers improvements to soundstage depth and focus, harmonics, and tonal balance. Low frequencies are cleaner, with a greater sense of definition thanks to a lower noise floor.

Case: Multi-layer hybrid NCF carbon case made up of a hard clear outer layer covered with another layer of hybrid NCF silver plated 3k carbon fiber over a non-magnetic stainless steel case. The best damping and isolation materials improve frequency extension and tonal balance.
