The excellent mechanical properties, the solid design and the two separate clamping nuts guarantee high contact pressure and thus consistently low transition resistance levels, a precondition for absolutely minimal effects on sound quality. The elegant design of the pole terminal is further enhanced by the multi-layer gold-plated surface that reliably prevents corrosion.

The integrated clamping mechanism (WBT patent) firmly holds the banana plug when the front clamping nut is tightened and thus not only protects the connection against accidental disconnection but also ensures extremely high contact pressure .

Thanks to the second nut, you can connect rods or crimped cable ends with high contact pressure via a fine thread. Retaining grooves in the base of the nut and in the pressure plate of the terminal unit improve contact quality and increase the tensile strength of the connection.

Inside connection.

Cables with a cross section of up to 10 mm² (7 AWG) can be used indoors.

WBT recommends the crimp connection method. You can use the supplied Torx screws and T.6 Torx key to perfectly fix the crimped cable ends.

However, the connections can also be soldered. If you decide to solder, WBT recommends the surface silver solder WBT-0800 (see also solder connection).

Mounting.

Mounting insulators are supplied to ensure not only insulation, but also kink-proof mounting and polarity identification. Lock nuts, double step washers with lugs and puzzle plates are also supplied. The puzzle plates can be hooked to each other. This ensures a precise terminal clearance of 19 or 30 mm, but above all absolute protection against torsion. Nuts on devices with high levels of intrinsic mechanical vibration, such as loudspeakers, should be additionally secured - using the WBT-9150 Serrated Lock Washer, for example.

Due to current safety regulations, the 4mm banana holes of the WBT pole terminals must be closed with the WBT-0799 safety stick.
