The superior model of the 2M range is a significant leap from its predecessors, and is the highest-grade mobile magnet capsule manufactured by Ortofon. As a result, the 2M Black incorporates unusual refinements in products of its class. This is the case, for example, of the use of a Shibata Nude diamond needle identical to that of the Cadenza Black model. On the other hand, its slim and highly polished profile allows an exceptionally wide contact area with the groove walls of the disc while ensuring a remarkably detailed restitution of all spectrum frequencies (including the highest). As a result, users of the 2M Black will enjoy the benefits of flawless sound reproduction coupled with lower disc wear, which adds substantial distortion and phase error as a result of superior tracking capability Of the groove provided by the improved geometry of the needle.
