Nd Magnet Technology
Often used in moving coil designs, the Nd5 pioneered the integration of a N55 neodymium magnet, the most powerful commercially available, offering superior power over standard magnets.
Glass-reinforced PPS body
The cartridge is housed in a glass-reinforced polyphenylene sulphide (PPS) body, injection moulded for maximum rigidity and minimum mass. This design reduces stress on the arm bearings, facilitating free movement and accurate vinyl reproduction.
Precision stylus and cantilever
Equipped with an aluminium cantilever and bare diamond stylus, the Nd5 ensures exceptional tracking and superior detail extraction from vinyl.
Factory installed options
The Nd5 cartridge is available as a factory-installed option on the award-winning Planar 3 and Planar 6 turntables, designed to maximise the quality of your vinyl collection. Check with your Rega dealer for more details on these packages, available at a reduced price.
Rega Reconstruction Program
Our unique pivot pad design eliminates the mechanical linkage between the stylus housing and main body, improving stability and tracking ability. If you need to replace your Rega cartridge, return it to your dealer and you'll receive a rigorously tested, rebuilt cartridge at a reduced price.
