ACOUSTIC METAMATERIAL TUNING SYSTEM (AMTS)

Headphones are subject to standing waves at higher frequencies, which can make instruments like strings, cymbals, and even vocals sound unrealistic and fatiguing.

AMTS is Dan Clark Audio's patent pending in-line device located between the transducer and the ear. AMTS integrates waveguides, diffusion control, quarter wave, and Helmholtz resonators in a compact structure to eliminate standing waves and dramatically improve system performance. .

Diffusion elements reduce standing wave formation, while resonators act as broadband and precision filters to smooth and shape the frequency response from midrange to higher frequencies.

With AMTS, the result is that high frequencies are reproduced with a refreshingly smooth, precise and detailed delivery across all genres. OK, bad recordings are still bad, we're not magicians!

The premium black leather headband features fine blue stitching to create a padded head strap that is not only beautiful but functional and comfortable. A stylish embroidered EXPANSE logo adds a splash of color to EXPANSE's all-black aesthetic.
