The clamping system, which operates similarly to the clamping mechanism of a drill, firmly secures the external plug against the RCA socket. The high clamping pressure not only guarantees a secure connection, but also minimises resistance during the transition. In addition, any variations in the size of the external plug are compensated for, ensuring an optimum fit.

The clamping collar is designed with two sections, allowing the front section to move freely when rotating the rear section, thus eliminating the risk of twisting the contact elements.

The centre pin is knurled and precisely configured, providing a firm but flexible contact to ensure a reliable and durable electrical connection with minimal resistance during transition.

The metal parts are made of a special copper alloy and coated with 24-carat gold to prevent oxidation, which could negatively impact contact quality.

The connector's internal insulation is made of heat-resistant Teflon*, which offers a distinct advantage when soldering jumper wires, especially in high temperature conditions such as those used in lead-free soldering. WBT recommends the use of its silver solder WBT-0800 (see also soldering section).

In combination with WBT's RCA sockets, the contacts are arranged in such a way that the outer conductor makes contact before the inner conductor, thus avoiding unwanted or damaging voltage peaks.

A Torx screw provides reliable protection against cable strain.

- Single-element contact elements with low tolerance (Tol. < ± 0.02 mm).
