The CD Box S3, the first model in Pro-Ject's new S3 electronics line-up, is a compact, stylish and affordable compact disc player. This classically styled digital player has been completely redesigned in terms of both its internal architecture and its casing, which now adopts the revamped S3 format.
In terms of design, the CD Box S3 incorporates a new-generation aluminium structure and a 39 mm diagonal screen with colour inversion function. This display allows the user to view all the information essential for enjoying their CD music, either by controlling the device via the front buttons or the included remote control.
Internally, the CD Box S3 features a transport mechanism that ensures accurate reading of compact discs with bit-for-bit (‘bit perfect’) accuracy. In addition, it integrates an advanced digital-to-analogue (D/A) conversion chip, capable of processing signals with up to 32-bit resolution and 384 kHz sampling rates, thus guaranteeing high-quality conversion.
Finally, this model incorporates an ultra-quiet output circuitry made of top-quality components, together with a slot-loading disc loading system that is characterised by its fast and smooth operation.
